Default XR3i track car

Guy from another forum approached asking if was interested in another XR3i (silly question) which had been parked up for years, as we were looking for a decent-ish shell for a track car, we went to see her and bought her on the spot - best thing is being an XR3i, the car already has the fuel tank, pump, lines and wiring loom needed for the 16v plus the bigger brakes etc

This one is an 89 on the G, as you'll see was originally red but has been painted black but been done fairly well, all the A pillars etc have been done but not engine bay and floor - bit of aerosol will sort that

Car had sat where it was in first couple of pics for approx 4 years, never moved. Timing belt was lookin quite bad but as the engine was coming out thought we'd give it a try...... battery on, prime the fuel up and started first time! Pumped up tyres and away we went!

Gave her a wash on way home:

And on the back of the trusty TD

Bargain at £100 especially with the 16s and RS bonnet! Some might know sneaky Pete at the wheel - he's the other owner of this joint project!! Car is currently stripped bare to remove every piece of unnecessary weight and the 2.0 16v zetec and 4 spd box are waiting patiently to go in - hopefully this weekend.

for the ratio's mate and acceleration cos its purely a track car although will be tax and tested to scare a few road cars - my mate runs an 1800 zetec with a 4spd box in his track car and its awesome round the track
