Boot not opening

As title,
Opened boot to get some oil out, closed it and now it wont open
No click from the solenoid when i press the button and the key wont work
Anyone any ideas?

similar happened to me , i had to fold back seat down , crawl through , and give the locking mechanisim a couple o dunts with screwdriver handle,
this seemed to loosen it up , no problems since

cos they arent used much they get stickyed up, make sure the brass spring loaded pins int eh bottom of the boot lid are clean as are the brass contacts on the bottom of the boot cill where thet close too, these affect the interior light, rear wiper and the boot release
