GT25 turbo on a cvh
Ive stumbled across a garrett GT25 turbo
, has anyone tried fitting one to a cvh?
I know the exhaust manifold will need modding.
But is there any point fitting it, i.e. am i gonna see any real advantages!
its going on an rs turbo lump, but in a considerably lighter car
if that makes any difference!
cheers for any input

oh, ok, I thought one was like another!
i'll have to find out then, as it came off a mountune development engine for an outsourced Ford project, and has no build plate!
cheers

GT25 means it is a GT series turbo, using an exhaust wheel of a specific diamter (53mm inducer)
The turbine housing, and compressor wheel and housing could be anything. GT25's are suitable from roughly 150-350bhp depending on specifics - the smallest one can manage about 250hp.

Yea, it will be fine. Depending on what the turbine housing A/R is will determine how laggy it is. For 190 u want it quite small. The A/R will be on the exhaust housing stamped somewhere.
