Default GT25 turbo on a cvh

Ive stumbled across a garrett GT25 turbo , has anyone tried fitting one to a cvh?
I know the exhaust manifold will need modding.
But is there any point fitting it, i.e. am i gonna see any real advantages!
its going on an rs turbo lump, but in a considerably lighter car if that makes any difference!

cheers for any input

There are loads of GT25's mate. You'd need the full model number for solid information. It will certianly be suitable for a CVH I'd go for it if i had one for sure.

GT25 means it is a GT series turbo, using an exhaust wheel of a specific diamter (53mm inducer)

The turbine housing, and compressor wheel and housing could be anything. GT25's are suitable from roughly 150-350bhp depending on specifics - the smallest one can manage about 250hp.

Yea, it will be fine. Depending on what the turbine housing A/R is will determine how laggy it is. For 190 u want it quite small. The A/R will be on the exhaust housing stamped somewhere.

cheers, i'll check tonight.

i'm guessing the 190 figure though, as much more in the back of a very small car might be too much!

I reckon a GT25 would be a lovely responsive turbo. Don't have high expectations of what power it will make, I reckon it will make what you want though.

Go for it IMO.
