Default Have i bought a white elephant?

Hi,

Im in the middle of building a zetec turbo for my s1 and was after a t34. I came across one on ebay (or what i thought was one). Its a turbonetics turbo t04e model but was assured by the seller it was a t34. Heres the spec:

.50 A/R compressor

.63 A/R turbine

.57 compressor wheel trim

Here's some pics:

Im looking for 340 bhp when it's done, i can return the turbo if its not right.

Any help would be great

Cheers
Daveyboy

It should provide enough air for 340 bhp although it does look of dubious quality to say the least!!!

I agree with the 'qualitiy' thing. Although quite a few people on here do seem to be using turbonetics turbo's.

For 300 quid if it lasts the mapping i won't mind

Damo V has a T34 with Maram shaft forsale and would be perfect for your needs : https://passionford.com/forum/viewto...999&highlight=

IMO Better to fit the right turbo and have it mapped right the 1st time than fit the wrong turbo / unknown turbo, pay to have it mapped and then have to replace the turbo and have it mapped all over again.

Not sure that is a Turbonetics turbo to be honest. They usually have Turbonetics cast into the housing. Probably a copy of a Turbonetics turbo.

Looks like Ebay shit to me. Of the XS-Power variety or similar.

The one Damo V has is the real deal. Expensive, but it's a case of really getting what you pay for, for something you can be sure of.

So the question is... do i send it back (it was only 300 quid)... or do i run it until it dies?

The one that damo v is selling is awesome, but i don't have that money at the mo.
