That always seems to be the case on T5s. Bro has one too, and it makes the change feel so hit and miss..........
quick shift aint good on a t5, shifts too quick for the gears, ask bernie, he dont like em either i belive
a cossie aint got a long shift anyway, but the 2.0glsi has a fooking silly shift

Did one of your other posts say the lift up collar is inside your gaiter?
If so, you probably aren't lifting it all the way, and there is a metal pin that stops the lever moving across.
If you put the gaiter down below the collar where it should be, so you can use the lift-up properly, it could solve the problem.

all sorted now
would like to say a big thanks to bernie for talking me through some possibilities earlier
also a big thanks to craig @ the place i cant rememer the name of
(cossymad's mechanic) for fixing it... and for cossymad for putting me intouch
it was the rubber gaiter around the gearstick getting stuck where the lift up reverse gate was, so you couldnt pull the gearlever far enuf back to engage properly
i'm SOOOO glad its sorted now as it was getting embarrasing having people help me pusht the car backwards
also got the quickshift on there now... its BRILLIANT!
