on a distributorless ignition system ,pectel loom , P8 already converted to run it etc.. ive got power to the coil pack , power to the ignition amps , a pulse from the injectors but NO spark at the plugs , cant work it out ! changed the crank sensor and re-gapped the phase sensor , got proper earths but still nothing ! As you let go off the key a spark does appear at the plug and makes the engine cough so i know it will go , but where is the spark during cranking ??? Anyone had this before ,

 

Tony are the 2 outer wires on the coil pack multi plug switching ? check with a test light whilst its connected to the coil pack and cranking over

Hi Doug , how are you mate ?? I know there is power to the centre pin , the permanent live but im not sure about the outer ones and my sparky has gone AWOL on a jet -ski for the weekend, if we assumed they are not ( as these are the feed for each side of the pack and its not sparking ) what do you think the cause of this could be ?

with the plug connected you should have a feed on the centre pin and the 2 outer pins should also be live and switch earth as you turn it over check that and get back to me
