know theres quite a few blakin smokers on here

anyone recommend a mobile mechanic? got an audi a3 refusing to start, has been sat for a few months.
jump leads turn the engine over but it just keeps turning until the oil pressure warning light comes on and it beeps, which is strange, i would have thought the oil pressure light would go out with cranking???!

have checked for a spark, which its got, and topped it up with fresh fuel to no avail. havent checked the plugs cos you need to take the frickin inlet manifold off to get at em

so any ideas? or recommendations?

I was thinking that aswell
After a while cranking all audi's with that type dash start beeping at you,normally if you dont prime the fuel filter on a diesel and you wind it over for a couple of days before it fires(obviuolsy no the case with yous).
Have you tried the obvious,lock then unlock with remote incase its immobilised.

 

if its been standing a while there is a possibillty that it may have lost its immobiliser code to the engine ecu, check for a little key signal or glow plug light flashing, if it is it has lost the code. only a audi dealer can code it. bcos audi re generate the code in germany and send it via an on line link sraight in to the car
