am i rite in thinking that the size for front door speakers are 5.25 or 5 1/4 inch??? dont want to get the wrong size.

Yup, they are 5 1/4 inch - at least I have fitted them to mine.

Be careful, though some of the modern speakers are very very thick.

I use Infinity Perfects 5.1's - stunning sounds, but the cone moves so much, I had to use the spacer bracket to hold the door card out of the way

The plastic speaker brackets are readily available in scrappers on any sierra, so if modification is required, then get a spare set ifyou are worried (i wouldnt be)

 

I'm pretty sure I could only get 4" in the front doors.

That was without modifying the bracket though.

Was a cheap Sony set as a temporary measure about 18 months ago!

Will get me some infinity's one day!

 

someone once mentioned to me to get the vauxhall corsa speaker adaptor rings to fit 5 1/4 to a saff.

apparently they go under the door cards no probs, but there are issues with speaker depth.

 

int 5.25 n 5 1/4 the same size?

i wanna upgrade my speakers as well now, what size are the rears?

 

I absolutely guarantee that 5 1/4 speakers can be made to fit in the front door pods. Must admit that I drilled new pilot holes in the bracket for mine, but it is worth it. 4" speakers are just too small
