Question about television.......
Ok bit of a random one but i was just thinking, you know when they say a certain programme had so many viewers or a certain tv station had more viewers than another, how do they know what channels people are watching to be able to come to that conclusion?
ive always wondered this aswell
surely they just have stations that transmit a radiowave out into the air...i dont get how they can know whose got the TV tuned into that specific frequency...
they dont know what people are watching
what they do is select people and let them take part in the national survey, these people have boxes fitted in there house that notes what they watch!
