Default fuel pressure gauge

Can anyone tell me where to put a fuel pressure gauge and what fitting it is on 4x4 Saff. I am thinking it is between the regulator and rail or can it go the other end of the rail, which is simplest ?

Depends what you want to read really? Either weld in a fitting to the fuel rail after the regulator for proper acurate measurement. Or like me I am putting mine into the fuel line for simplicity.

If you put it in the line do you mean before the regulator if so dont I need to know the pressure at the injectors so in the fuel rail?

I have my fuellines going through JIC dash connectors in the footwell of my car. One of these is for the fuel in and the second for fuel return. They both have the same connectors. My thoughts are that one of these will be fuel pump pressure and the return will be pressure after regulator. Its then down to you which you want to monitor.

Hello.
I need your advice. I have a standard cossie engine with one fuel rail and RS500 fuel pressure regulator, which has an addictional inlet for a second fuel rail. I read, that you advise to instal a sender between pressure regulator and fuel rail.
Right now I have a gauge installed at that addictional inlet (instead of second fuel rail) and it shows something about 3 bars when engine is at idle speed. I'm changing it to a digital one with a pressure sender.
Would it be proper if I install pressure sender into second free inlet at fuel pressure regulator? (I have only one fuel rail -standard 2wd cossie engine).
I would be grateful for any help.
thanks and best regards

Should not be a problem, as rs 500 has the same pressure in both rails. the 2 connectors for fuel hoses on the regulator goes into the same chamber.

Tom.
