there on the microcat in the cylinder head section, shown in an exploded diagram in front of the cams.
i think there about £20 each from fords, cheapest way would be to take 1 of your old bearings to a bearing specalist & get them to match it up.

as aboev though, there will be a number on it somewhere - you should be able to x-ref that against a SKF standard bearing and pay only a few £ each

most local engineering places will have a SKF book, in macclesfield there are companies like Macc bearings, Delaneys hardware etc,

they basically measure the internal and external dimensions, the type of bearing and this will denote a bearing code, something like in this table:

there are a few makes about, SKF, Timken etc, its generally the bigger firms that offer the full cross reference services though, i wouldn't be too worried though, as it does run in engine oil that is pumped up to the top of the head, if it were a 'sealed for life' bearing that is pre lubed i would want a well known make..

See the thing is Dave, i've had my fingers burned with this project regarding taking the CHEAPER option......... But i do know what you're saying!

I took the exh bearing off yesterday & its deffo a SKF bearing anyway.

SKF - 6205N (last letter COULD be a M) - France

But would the bearing look exactly like the one in front of me, IE have the outer ring on the bearing casing (if that makes sense, has the cut out so you know which way it sits on the cam).

so if you go on the skf site you can put in that code and it will give you all the critical dimensions,

(here you go)

http://www.skf.com/skf/productcatalo...=false&lang=en

abnd yes that DOES come with a snap ring groove already in it - result

probably comes with the bearing, i would have thought... but its not an item that would wear like a bearing though - so if it doesnt't, i wouldnt bother replacing it....

nope, after all that - i got mine from simon at Woodford motorsport,
as i was getting new belt, filter, tensioner, full gaskget set, valve guides valve stem seals, hoses, core plugs, header tank, turbo heat shield and bottom splitter all at the same time i got them with that little lot - and THEN found they were a SKF bearing that i could have got cheaper myself - cos i got all this bits BEFORE stripping it down - doh - in for a penny in for a pound eh

Thats the only concern i have Dave, after the fiasco with my cam trigger etc i don't want to be a cheap fecker & end up ruining the engine / head!
