what braided brake hoses have u got? and where did u get them from. its doin my head in this is, no one can tel me a definete answer. i need braided brake hoses for the fronts and for the rear callipers ive put on. they are saph 4x4 callipers all round, but obviously the brake lines comin from the master cylinder are original escort ones. i wondered if u just get normal escort rs turbo braided hoses, or if the end that join the calliper are different from cosworth to rs turbo if that makes sense
help lol
help lol
would think most are very similar mate. fittings i would have thought are the same but length maybe a bit different.
i'm in need of some braided rear for mine front already has them. got some sort of cossie calipers on the back lol

i've been told that the 4x4 front calipers are exactly the same caliper as the s2 just that they ran with better pads and bigger discs...so as above iwould go with rs turbo braided front lines i'm running 2wd cossie front calipers they're 4 pots and a slightly diffrent set up....
Iv just done a 4x4 rear disk conversion on my projet and got my rear braided brake hoses from burton power online. Im pretty shure the standard ones for the front will fit fine. Hope this helps

I was going to put 2wd cossy calipers on the front of my car but im am going away from the idea for the following reasons
First you will have to machine the caliper mounting points 4mm to get the correct spacing, secondly i think you will find you will have to use a banjo bolt fixing on the brake pipe to the calipers due to clearance problems and thirdly i was told to use 4x4 cossy front disks for the correct diameter. As well as the issues iv mentioned above you would also have a problem with which wheels you can use cuz they stick out further and rub on the inside of your alloys
I would suggest the 4x4 cossy front calipers is the better option and less of a pain.

Just stick with your S2 calipers on brackets (Ł40 off Clint on Turbosport)
these mount your calipers slightly further outboard on the discs than 2 or 4 w/d cossie calipers sit/therefore giving greater resistance to the rotational forces on 285mm discs ie better brakes!
Then put you cossie calipers on Ebay/should get 50 quid for them/and enjoy
the new found tenner at your local Beer vendor.
The above system bolts straight on, no machining and no spacers to worry about/loose every time you dismantle them.
Although you won't be able to 'astound' your mates in the pub with tales
of your cossie calipers...Yawn!

my whole brakeing system is braided lines brought a good length of braided hose and all the fittings and made them up myself
www.speedflow.co.uk everything u could possibly need

rear braided lines for rear disc conversions are available from burtons, as mentioned above..........
failing that as mentioned here get 'em made straight thro to your calipers from cylinder from abby hose while you wait

infact the more i look at that, the minter it seems. did u have the bodyshop do all the painting of the chassis rails etc wen they painted rest of the car? i wana do all the arches etc on mine bodycolour
Sorry m8 but i havnt yet got around to fitting the front calipers yet so no pics
I am going to put the standard ones back on the front for now until i decide wether to put my 2wd calipers on or opt for willwood or hi-spec brake setup. The 2wd calipers seem like too much hard work
As for the underneath i painted myself with 2k paint, compressor and spray gun
Its all in my resto tread if you are intrested
