anyone here ever own a 7 series bmw at anypoint
my mate had one740i most are auto i think but you wouldnt want manual in a car that size mate. it drunk like a fish too. even small ones drink due to its size.but so much for the buck! comfy and fully loaded.
compared to a jumbo jet.
one trip to silverstone from essex on an 80quid tank had to refill before halfway back.he said it was awful and he is used to running big jags and mercs.

I've got a 740i wallet hoover and its a great car in everway, fully loaded as standard, fuel consumption isnt that bad considering its near on 2 tonnes, getting about 30mpg on a run and thats sitting at about 85-90mph but round town its about 10-15 the way I drive it. Mines also chipped so its another 5% or so on the standard 286bhp. Doesnt hang around when you floor it but 70-130 doesnt take long. Mines gone past the standard limiter of 155mph.
Nice cars if you dont mind filling it up and servicing costs but you can pick them up cheap. No more than running a Cossy IMO, if your getting one make sure the display pixels are all there and it has full history. Not sure if they do manual but I wouldnt one as the 5 speed auto is fine although when it hunts for gears can be a pain in the arse
