I would love to do it all again - really, I would.

But I honestly cannot justify pumping thousands of pounds into an antique that will probably break (altho my last one only saw a recovery truck twice - once for a split coolant host and once for an ignition problem tracked down to an electrical componenet failure - not bad for 18 months ownership and over 20,000 hard, hard miles )

hmmmmmm Evo 6 - tempting, VERY tempting

Pete, you have to build another 3dr identical to your old one! My mates favourite car, even loves the 666 plate!

Dan

The ring - exactley, The cossie will probably be the ONLY car that I feel comfortable in throwing round the ring, purely because I knew every little bit about the way it performed and its reactions to what I asked it to do (steering input etc etc)

Big decisions

Buy another mate!

Alot of what makes a Cossie is all the RS seen that goes with it, Its one of the main reasons i bought a Cossie over an Evo4. You just dont get that in the Jap seen, i was there for 18months and went to more ford shows than jap because found them crap!

I keep having the same thoughts.......

I actually really regret selling my cossie track car on one level........ but then I put the sensible hat on.

If you are going to own a car that has a purpose other than just getting from A to B like normal people, then it has to be reflected in your budget and lifestyle.

My cossie would have been a seriously fast and seriously reliable track car........ except that with consumables (brake discs, tyres etc), and the cost of running it on a track day (ticket, fuel etc), each day would have set me back between Ł300 and Ł400 minimum!

When you can have something that does the job as well, provides as much fun, but is cheaper, then you have to go that way, as what sense does it make to have a car that you use 10 times a year sat around for the majority of the year doing nothing.

THAT is madness.............. and yet I still miss it. What the hell is that about?

gracie think a few of us are here too

im gonna go ring next year BUT rather than a cossie im gonna sort the 325i out and get coilovers and bigger brakes on it aswell as fitting a fucking LSD,,,, christ that car needs one big time

i wanna get another cossie but tbh i use my car on sundays only,,,,,, the rest of the week its parked outside my house all day and if i got a cossie it wiuld be the exact same thing apart from the cossie has alot more chance of being nicked/broken into

once ive got the suspenstion and braking sorted ill prob look into m3 conversion or maybe a turbo/supercharger conversion and i then hope i got a car thats on par with a stage 3 cossie but still blends in the background

why did you sell the E30 cossie mate,,,,, should have kept that tbh but im sure you had your reasons

fairplay, never get a loan for a car,,,,, just asking for trouble imo

hence why i can wipe my mouth when my cossie got nicked as it was all owned by me and ive got nothing left but bad memories,,,,, fuck still paying for it after its gone,,, but i have been there and done that before

decide what you prefer and go from there

im thinking that a e36 is more suited to my uses,,,, but you never know i may hate the drive of it and buy another cossie anyway

gracie what about a cheep erst to get you back into it as there are some deals out there

what you need 4wd,,,,,, then buy a rangerover

doing 130 in a cossie is nothing like doing 130 in a bean tin,,,,,, all that road noise,,,,,, the mirrors about to fall off,,,,,, looking down at the bonnet think " is the bonnet about to pop",,,,,,,,, the fact the cars shaking all over the place,,,, the fact its reving its arse off

or the fact that you feel like your doing 2000mph,,,,,

in a cossie the only thing youre thinking is,,,,, ill change up to 5th now

I've never owned a Cossie. Purely because my salary can't justify an Escort Cossie..............

I wouldn't buy a Saff. I think they look awful, and if I bought a 3 door I'd never drive the thing

rab stu said you cant buy a car and break it unless you pay the traders fee

guess ya gonna have to keep it

i think theres nothing wrong with your car,,,, i think your just too scared to drive is as theres too much power !!!!

turn the boost down if the cars power makes you cry

seroiusly rab,,,,,, when i borrowed xrt-si's fiesta running 16psi ,,,,,, stripped out,,,,, mate the fucking fun i had with that car,,,,,, fucking MENTAL and i was only running the fucking thing in

on the way to scc the thing was awesome,,,,,, the only thing it needed ( apart from more boost ) was a turbo that kept the power on longer in the rev range

just do the car proper and then decide,,,, they do fetch 3k when running proper mate

whats it worth breaking honestly

repair it and have fun,,,, mental cars upto 115,,, after that there erm,,,, well your reminded why ford fitted a 1.6 carb to em

Ginge. I can't justify spending more than it's worth in bits.

Otherwise there's no point.

It's worth about 2k in parts. It owes me alot more than that.

So, rather then keep ploughing cash into it. I'll just break it.

Oh, and I'm sure Stu is aware that I didn't buy this car to break it.

I bought it, spend 300 quid on it, then found out it was fucked, and got annoyed. Hence broke it :P

shame to break such a nice car,,,,, once you fit another engine mate then ya wil be sorted !!!!!

its your choice mate but its such a good car thats just had bad luck,,, once its sorted mate you wil have a bad ass motor

fucking good job i never mentioned that xrt-si's motor has been through engines in the 2 years hes had it,,,,,

but hes just finished a 2.1 zetec with omex managment and t34,,,,, so should be about 360ish bhp

not bad for a nurses car
