Default 56,000 mile S2 stood for 5yrs solid, never started..??

Just found out that some bloke who my(i) firm does work for has an E plate S2 (white) stuck in a barn/garage with 56,000 miles from new, 2 or 3 owners including him. Totally standard. Its been stuck there for 5 years and never moved , i have'nt seen it yet but he's letting me know how much he's wanting for it if he decides to sell it (quietly confident he will tho). Not sure what its worth as i have'nt seen the condition of it yet... should imagine it'll need a good engine service etc before starting plus other parts freeing off and a good clean up.
Provided the storage has no leaks and the cars straight & solid, what do you think it'll be worth roughly? Sorry, i know its hard to say from what i've told you.. just after some examples considering its been stood flat for 5 years without being started at all. Cheers

E plate
Standard
56,000 mile (genuine)
2 or 3 owners (can't remember now)
Not moved or started for 5 year
Apparently it looked mint until he got a new car and garaged/forgot about the Series 2

Anything around a £1000 would be a good buy. Just remember that you could require a fair few parts to get it running such as new battery, sevicing of the brakes or possible new ones, probbly new tyres, definatly a sevice before attempting to start it, and mybe the cluch could have seized. There are quite a few things that can seize up and stop working after a short period of time if its not stored correctly so work it into your price.

Mine had stood in shed for 8 years before I bought it. Nevertheless it had some serious rot spots. So give the bodywork a good check aswell.

remember and spin the engine round by hand first with the plugs out to free it off a bit and when you fire it up for the first time leave the plugs out agian and get some oil pressure there
