id say if used every day (in a sensible state of tune - ie upto about 340 hp) thay are as useable as any other car, and IF used every day probably more reliable than if only used occaisionaly... mines now a every day driver, albeit about 10 miles a day, but at least its be haiving now

(shhhh . . dont let it hear me )

ONLY thing bugging me know is the whine from the box - do i do it now, or wait till it stops working and/or somehting else forces me to get the box off like a clutch or something..?

im on 18"'s and std ride height - i never touch speed humps, but you do have to watch for the front splitter if goin into some driveways / garage forecourts as if you come in too fast it will catch, other than that not a problem at all. since having MSD set it up its now got manners and behaives like it should

I put 12K on mine in the first 6 months of ownership & it never missed a beat.As long as you get them serviced regular & by someone who knows what they are looking at it will be fine.No worse than your Focus I would of thought.
The most important is buy the best you can to start with, you don't want to end up with someone elses problems that they didn't bother to put right.

id say if you want a standard car as a daily driver, get a smal turbo, alot less laggy and more drivable at low speeds...
