Default s1 fan belt and track arm change needed



been through the haines manual with no help.

i need to change my fan belt on the series 1 as she is squeking.

what do i have to do in order to remove and replace it??? or does it need to be garaged for such a job??

same question with the lower front left track arm replacement, not the whole thing just the end peice where the bush perishes.

Alternator belt; STARTING & CHARGING 5A.3

Track control arm;SUSPENSION & STEERING 10.5

Fan belt ??? Do you mean alternator belt ?
(Left-hand lower of engine bay running back/forward axis).

The alternator belt is easy, slacken both the 13mm bolts on the adjusting arm, push the alternator home towards the block, change the belt, pull the alternator back out and use a longish screw driver to tension the belt and re-tighten the bolts

I'm not too sure on the second as to whether u mean the TCA or the tie rod?

dunno if you can replace the bush on the lower control arm , i had to replace the whole thing

if in doubt , check HAYNES!!!!
