RS 2000 GEARBOX

Does anyone know if the gearbox from a j reg Rs 2000 will fit on a 1.8 gti zetec escort as my gearbox is knackered and I have a shiney new rs 2000 one sat in the garage

Should do as they used them in the 105bhp and 130bhp mk 5 XR3is. You probably need the gear linkage as well.

yeah should be the mtx75 if Im correct, used in a few of the models.
Good strong box too

i dont think the gti`s used the mtx75 box, i think it was the IB5 box but i could be wrong though

saint your right, it was the IB5 in the GTi's so to fit an MTX75 you will need flywheel, clutch, shafts, possibly hubs
