Don't know what efi you mean, but management that are based on a map-sensor instead of an air-flow-meter, are completely insensitive to the type of valve used.

if u running EFI why use a dump valve?? when you get a loud better sounding chatter noise??
IMO i think that dump valves are gay even tho i had one on my old S2..
i run EFI on my ERST and would never ever use a dump valve again,, just go for the chatter dude.

unless you've got a roller bearing turbo then you have no choice but to run one and i bloody hate then.

Unless you're running aGT series turbo don't bother with a dumpvalve. They do next to bugger all apart from make you sound like a bus.

Just kidding. :P :P :P

Well I've got a dump valve fitted, too. First drive was awesome, big grin on my face.

But now I'm getting a bit tired of it.

You don't need it mate. I run my S2 at 25psi (1.72bar) and it's never had a dumpvalve on it. My Fiesta RST is running at 15psi (1.03bar) and also runs no dumpvalve. Up to date I've never had any issues with either despite both being driven very hard.

t series turbos dont produce enough back pressure to cause damage, so unless you run a t4 a dump valve or bov is not needed.

roller bearing turbo shaft is very thin so the air getting blocked by the shut butterfly can in some cases snap the compressor wheel off the shaft
