what fuel!?
i recently bought a mint series two and the guy handed me a castrol lead additive and octane boost mix stylee thing and said to use it with normal unleaded cause its meant to run on 4star? is this right? will i fuck sumthin if i use normal unleaded without it? or is it better to use optimax or sumthing? any comments thoughts or advice would me much appreciated!
you should use Shell V power(new name for optimax} or at least super unleaded which has a higher octane rating. do you know when was the last time the car had a decent set up was?
optimax, ultimate or any of the super unleadeds really mate- i've bin told they don't like normal unleaded so i've never tried.
stick to the premium jobbies and she shud be fine- no need fot the extra, expensive additives mate

so will it be sound if i just blast some o that in? without the additive? is that what yous do? no idea when the car was last set up but it think it needs it, its got a flat spot just before 4000rpm?
yea any super unleaded should be good enough, 97 ron is lowest you should use. i put normal unleaded in once, the car ran like a bag of nails and resulted in a injection system rebuild . . .
V power is good

I must ask, will car have better oiling (valves...) if I put lead adittives in fuel? and maybe go better? because now I putting in car fuel (in may country) caled "eurosuper 98" or 100 octane. wizh no lead in it.
I just use normal unleaded when i had the car set up the guy asked what fuel i have been using i told him and he said its fine never had a prob with it
Fooked if i am paying the price of super unleaded for a every day car would cost us a bomb

97 super unleaded means 97 octane its still unleaded more octane you have the more boost or ignition advance you can have = more power

not really leads just there to lubicate the valve guides and cool the valve seats not really anything to do with power
there as not been a cvh engine thats been damaged by not using leaded petrol or a lead adittive

so if you fill a 50 litre tank its costing you £4 more to get super than normal, thats me taking it to 8p of a difference think its only 5p up here so thats only £2.50 of a difference for better/safer/cleaner fuel
not really a ball buster after all
ok I want say that I bought lead adittives before few hours and put it in tank. and dont feel any diference. just that
but 3 pound for 250 litres of fuel is good price for little engine protection , but maybe unneccesarry.

In my country we have unleaded 99 or new formula V-power that it is better know´n as. But the 98 unleaded does the job
but how much is it pr liter in the UK?
her it is 10,56 kroner for the 95 unleaded, about 0.8£
