In your 'my music' folder, right click on the mp3's you want to burn, and click on 'add to bun list' (on either realplayer or windows media player, windows media player is the easiest, they automatically transfer, put the cd in, press on the the 'take no action' on the list of options when it reads the CD....
Then go across the top on windows media player on to 'burn' (next to rip) and then make sure all the songs are ticket, and then click on start burn.....
then it will go through three stages, inspecting, converting, burning, and just be patient

windows media player will do it.
Open windowms media player, goto the tools menu, choose options.
Click on rip music. UNder rip settings, make sure mp3 is selected (usually windows media audio)
Then, put ur cd's in, and rip the music. It will put the cd's in the my music folder.
Then, when ur done, put a blank cd in, drag the cd's uve ripped from my music. and then burn to cd...... (using windows explorer, not media player)

As Rick said, easiest way if you have never done it before will be to use Windows Media Player (WMP).
Put the CD in your computer and open WMP and click RIP. You should see a list of songs that are on the CD, all with ticks next to them. Go to the TOOLS menu (along top of WMP) and select OPTIONS. Then click the tab with RIP on it and make sure it is set to MP3.
Then, back in the RIP part of WMP, press the RIP CD (or similar) button. Each track will then be copied and converted to MP3 format, one at a time, to your computer.
Do this for each album.
Then, when all is done. put a blank CD in the computer. Go to the folder where the music was written to (by default, this should be MY MUSIC, in MY DOCUMENTS) and highlight all the tracks, and right click on one and select SEND TO, and you should see a small picture of your computer CD drive and some text (be the name of the drive usually) Click this and it should start copying all the tracks to a new window. Might take some time.
Anyway, when it's done, all you need to do is click the WRITE FILES TO CD in that new window and it should copy them all onto your disc and you should have a nice MP3 disc to play in the car

and the easiest way of all without using any software ( and fastest from what ive done myself)
put blank disc in, when the box comes up asking what to do, open writable folder, and then open your music file, drag and drop onto the open folder and on the left hand side it says " write to disc" then you rename it etc that way
ive never used any software to make mp3s apart from nero which i found very bloody slow!!!
