Default using easy start to start an rs turbo!!!

guy just dropped off a s1 rs turbo for me to look at as it wont start from cold.just told me that he has been using easy start(aerosol) to get it going in the mornings for a while.

now my experience with this stuff is with diesels years ago and they begin to need it more and more if i remember correctly.

could using this have done any damage?

need to get it running but it flatly refuses to attempt to fire up from cold unless you push the air flap down on the metering unit then it attempts to run.

Mine was the same, wouldnt start from cold without metering flap! but I found somehow i'd blown a fuse within a relay under the dash, Think it's located next to the fuel pump relay. . its something to do with the fuel ECU not fueling on cold start or on boost. .

maybe one point worth checking.

hes wright

there is a black square relay at the side off the silver big fuel relay
that is related too the cold start

but in my experiance when i car has had easy start used on it for a while its like a drug too the car it gets addicted too it and wont start without it

we used too use it on trucks years agao but the fookers got addicted too it ,cost a small fortune in that stuff

just started looking round the back of the inlet manifold

wires have been cut everywhere
blue plug to extra injector has an earth wire fitted and the other wire is cut, wires cut on cold start valve, but its all been bodged up at some point and its a complete mess, cant even find the other ends of the wires.

cant even see where to start.....most of the loom looks factory, but then other wires like the earth on the blue plug are extra????

are those plugs all the same on a s1 and s2?

its a fuckin shed!and he apparently paid Ł4000 for this

is it inside the relay?
there is a big silver relay and a black one next to it-they are the only 2 there.

the fuse is within the relay yes.

Mine didnt have a cover unfortunately (and that's how the fuse blew) so I cant say for sure, but I think it's black, the silver iirc is the fuel pump relay.

does the car run/start fine once warmed?
