My mate has just bought a very sexy RS2000 and he needs some help if you can. It’s a Custom model with standard sport seats (looking very tatty).

We’ve been told that MK3 Series 1 RS turbo interior fit in them (is that right) plus I thought S2 RST was the same (or am I wrong)???

So what interior would you think the best to put in it and how much would it cost, plus where would we find some good examples??

All depends what state the rest of the car is and what he wants to do with it.

If hes not worried about originality then later seats can be made to fit on the runners but they arent bolt in plus they can be a tight fit which makes it hard to turn the back adjuster.

Most people would say get a better set of original seats but they are commanding stupid money. Retrimming is also a very expensive option.

 

Not really worried about keeping them original as one day he will want 2 rally it and cosworth/Zetec lump it. So for the next year or so just wants it looks half decent.

Do you know where he can buy some?

try peter lloyd rallying or better still Classic Ford

 

But he's going 2 use it for a year while he is still in Uni - So he needs to use the back seats.

have been in loads of rs2000's with competion front seats
and full back seats,and they have been r a c logbooked

 

Lol He doesnt really want everyone climbing over the seats - When he is ready he'll get some carbon buckets etc and strip the car but right now he wants to have it looking normal (well as nomal as a RS2000 can look)
