Default Photography people

Can some explain why these pics are different?

First one is my d500 mobile(1.3mp) and the 2nd is my 2mp kodak digicam.


Both taken just now out my window one after the other trying to capture the moon(i was bored)

just wanna know why the mobile didnt pick it up very well? too dark maybe? or maybe i should play around with cam phone settings

Usually react to the light, so make it darker when there's no need.

Think you got mixed up mate, the one thats not right is the top mobile pic, the sky outside looks exactly like the bottom pic which come out ok(because the moons visible). Mobile one just went all light and weird

It says "ISO auto" on my mobile screen whatever that means, and "sf"

you should use your phone to make phone calls, and your camera to take photos..

I know but

I dont really care to be honest i just wondered what the reason was for it coming out like that

it's probably the phone camera trying to compensate for the low light level, turning the gain up to try and get an acceptable average light level for the picture - phone cameras are very crude in the way they operate, only really getting close to acceptable when light conditions are ideal.

using a flash can at night can make the background appear even darker
