Default thats ma new engine in and running

got ma new engine in after blowing old one{4} its got cvh 34 cam kit oversized mahle pistons ,ported polished had lightebed ballanced pulley ,felpro haed gasket fully rebuilt bottom end heavy duty bearing reground crank ring and all the rest so happy to say running sweet still to be set up .ps wedone the swap in four hours this time gettting very familiar now but hopefully not need to do it again cheers

Why everyone against Felpro gaskets?? I had the same reaction years ago when i built my Orion Tub.Some say they done seat very well against the cylinders or summit like that but mines was fine

well thats cool mate only gasket let me know the alternatives lads was built by seditas cars prestwick down this way they know what they are doing so hope a can say the same

They are known to burn out a lot between the cylinders. They were only designed for normally aspirated 1.9 CVH to start with so the extra heat from a turbo engine doesn't do them much good. They are actually a down grade from the standard Ford gasket.

I have seen them fail on cars that are abused and cars that are hardly ever abused so it's a bit luck of the draw to how long it lasts.
