Instead of going ahead with the resto on my red XR2, I thought, I can't be arsed and went shopping.

I came back with this. 8)














And this car was built by Scort. The man behind the site, www.rsbible.co.uk

So the wiring will be spot on at least.

And she was built from a decent shell, so unlike mine, the front and rear of this car are connected by something other than carpet and the plastic side skirts






My day was looooooooooooooooooonnnnnnnnnngggggggg.....

I got up at 8.30 and walked into the town for the bank. Lift out my cash and hopped on the train to Glasgow. This operation took just over an hour

Once in glasgow I got my ticket to somewhere very VERY south, (Taunton) and got on the train. First half of the journey was shit, as some brat kept chucking half eaten wotsits in my direction while I was trying to watch King Kong on my DVD player

But after 3 or so hours they got off. To be replaced by 2 old dears and a CD player and plug in speakers.

Que 5 hours of Pan Pipe moods........ At this point I considered sucide.


Infact I got up and went and stood at the door, unlit fag in my mouth, waiting for my stop, 45 minutes before my stop arrived

Got off the train and all was cool. Had to bury 50% of my scottish weather clothes in my bag due to the fact it was warm in Somerset.


Steve, (scort) was a nice chap. Really pleasant to chat to etc.

After we did our deal he even showed me where the motorway was. This was nice of him as I would be on the motorway for the best part of 9 hours

Anyways, car ran faultlessly, does 140+ mph when I left the motorway for my private test track, and is bloody noisy.

Got home, very tired, at 2:30am....

Jobs for this week are, replace the turbo (I might have killed it ) make a more effective breather (Steve's advice) and remove the stickers (police bait )

Anyways, I'll keep everyone updated

About 170 I reckon. No lag and it pulls really strong to the redline.

But you'll have to speak up. Can't hear a thing

I got the turbo and manifold all stripped off it today, ready to be rebuilt by carlsworth.

fair amount of play in the shaft too


BTW for future reference, T2 turbos are a cunt to get off
