Hello all,

Have a weird problem on my Escort Turbo S2. Went out in the car today
after a week not used. Drove around and felt like it was not firing properly,like jerky on throttle, felt like misfiring.
Anyway got stuck in traffic and revs went down and down and just cut out.
Went to re-start it but nothing. Starter motor was turning over fine, fuel pump was priming, just would not fire. 10 mins later tried again and has been fine rest of the day! Any ideas why? Distributor, leads maybe? Was on 1/4 tank fuel just under.

seems weird that i have the same problems.hopefully someone can help us out

 

hmmmm rst dont like air leaks so check those

such things like dipstick , oil filler cap ,boost hoses and breathers

other than that u might have had a missfire on 1 cylinder so check plugs leads and dizzy cap!

how long has it been since uve had a new set of plugs in it?
