XR3i 130 gearbox???

Default XR3i 130 gearbox???

am i right in thinking the XR3i, orion ghia si came with the MTX75 box as found in the RS2k???? I read in fast ford that they did, can someone put me right as i bin offered one realy cheap with a knackered box.

the xr3i came with the mt75 box, same as rs2000 but i know the mk6 escort si doesnt as changed 1 the other day & it was rear mounted starter & the same on the mk6 ghia. (mk5's may vary?)

130 3's came with the MTX 75 the 105's didn't BC or IB5 box on those (can't remember which)

all 130's had mtx box, i had a 105 which had mxt box too and it was a low milage genuine 105 car.
v strange!
mtx box is crap unles its under 50k miles, they get very notchy and hard to change gear.
240mm clutch tho!

Both boxes on my cars are perfect at 90K and 130K .

MTX-75 are good for 200BHP although 3rd is a little weak for the abuse it gets. Focus RS also uses the MTX-75
