A mate of me ownes a "Limited edition" LHD Sapphire Cosworth 4x4. It has been registered in Germany in September 1993.

Now my question: What is special about that Limited Edition? How many have been built? And is it possible that it came with self-dimming rear view mirror (same as those in bug-eyed scorpios)?

I think you mean "final edition" as i also have one.
It's got a little badge on the c-pillar with final edition on it.
It's got a special interior and a fully sprayed rear spoiler.
they called final edition because they are the last sierra 4x4 cosworths ever built.
Don't know how much are built but think they are all LHD.
But no self dimming mirror in mine.

i had a 93 "limeted edition" 248/ 700 from italy . so there is at list 700 of them .
All eletric - leather - but mine had no self dim mirror ...

Originally they were for Germany and Switzerland (not sure of germany). It had leather interior with numeroted plate and "conditionned air". Here in Switzerland we hadn't leather interior and air cond. Save weight !

 

I like to know also more about them. What about that special interiour?
