My old fiesta used to be 70psi cold - 15-25psi idle - under load 40-45psi so around these sort of figures is right

very strange, so its basically got no pressure whilst idling, that can't be good.

Just been out in it and it was at 10psi when it was idling warm but sometimes the revs drop slightly and it goes right down to around 5psi.

To note though, the iscv is unplugged due to it idling at 2k when its connected. Also its a low comp bottom end if that makes any difference

Could be lower because of the compression but i can't be 100%.

does it have a tube direct from the oil pressure switch? or just a bit of wire?

if its mechanical, where are you taking the feed from? oil pressure switch at the back of the block? also the tube could be kinked causing low pressure

No its got a bit of wire going from the sender to the gauge, its on a T piece with the oil pressure switch in the block

possibly a dodger sender, i swapped from an electrical to a mechanical cos the sender was unreliable.
