Default XR3i Inlet Manifold onto MFI

ok i have done a search and didn't find a definitive answer.

How much of a mission is it gonna be to fit an XR3i manifold (like what Christian has on his RST) to an MFI RS Turbo?

By looking at it, the problems are going to be in the form of fitting the cold start injector and knock sensor etc?

Can anyone shed any light on this?

Cold start injector is just the same.

XR3i MFI was available with KE-Jetronic and TPS and knock sensor in Germany so you'll get all parts you need for the XR3i inlet. Just the throttle is bigger!

You'll have to modify the fuel line for the csv.

And you can't use all of the UK XR3i parts. These cars didn't come with knock sensor and TPS!

does anybopdy have a picture of one.....

i noticed that they have a union on the front left of the manifold which is used for a breather. can i bung the knock sensor in there as i would only be blocking off the breather port anyway....

This car has got KE-Jet:

Don't know exactly where the knock sensor sits on this engine, iirr it's screwed directly onto the bottom end. If you use your turbo one, be sure it will sit on the right place or it won't fit. So you can't use the breather screw.

Conversion to EFI can also be done. Throttle housing can be used, modifications for the fuel injectors are the same if you want to convert your ERST manifold to EFI

Spot the deliberate and IMO VERY SERIOUS fault with the engine in those pictures

Should get a new one?

Holger built a totally new engine, so this won't be a problem now
