Default brakes continued from yesterday.

Right instead of cossie calipers what about brembos. Looking on e bay you can get 406 coupe or fiat coupe brembos reasonable. on the right cars they come with a 300mm disc, so...

how easy are these calipers to be made to fit? does anybody make brackets for them?
could I then use a 300mm disc from like an st170?

cheers

i dont know what lenght bolts u have in there to connect the custum bracket but u need slightly longer ones... minimum flush with the nut but technically 3 threads sticking through.

just an observation.

Thanks for concern, but these bolts were just used for DRY FITTING only.Proper sized bolts were used in the FINAL FITTING.

FIAT and 406 calipers are mounted differently.FOCUS RS are mounted from the sides and FIAT & 406 are mounted from the top.My brackets were Ł80.Take your HUB & CALIPER to a MACHINE SHOP and they should be able to make you some brackets.Ask on here if there is anyone that specializes in your choice of brake conversion.

I would also remove the paint from the surface of the drive flange as it may cause run-out and eventually vibration

You can use the FIAT & 406 caliper, but you will need to get a special adapter bracket made.
