Anybody use it? thinking off putting some on my manifold turbo and downpipe, is it any good and does it do what its supposed to?

 

i fitted some today on my cossie and doesnt seem to be doing much...

its cool-tek stuff.

oh rite i was told u`ll be able to tell instantly by the temp in the bay, but i dunno

 

i put some on and i thot it made a big differance.started alot better as the starter didnt get roasted by the down pipe.defo a good idea.al be doing as much of my exhuast stuff as possible

 

I have wrapped my downpipe, but only because it goes really close to the alternator. Trouble is that whilst its good to keep the exhaust heat of the engine bay as far as possible, keeping it in will raise EGT's and possibly lead to the exhaust manifold cracking.

 

so it has its downsides aswell then?

 

i was advised against wrapping the manifold but definetly the downpipe
