Fuel Pump
Currently putting in a escort rs turbo engine into a mk5 escort xr3i would I get away with using the mk5 fuel pump?
Thanks.

If you're still using the KE-jetronic, then probably no.

Depends on what system your car currently has. MFI or EFI and it will be fine, single point injection pump might not be up to it.

u will need the rs turbo fuel pump as mfi requires around 5-6 bar of pressure. the efi pump u have will be well below that
i put a s2 turbo in my mk6 and had to modify my fuel tank to fit the rst pump

If its running EFi can't you use the Fiesta RST in tank pump or the Escort Cosworth one?
Cheers

If you use EFI Turbo any EFI fuel pump will be fine.
If you use KE-Jet you will need a KE-Jet pump! And you won't get them as in-tank!

I think you'll find the standard pump will probably get the engine running but its not going to be up the job of high end fuelling.
As suggested it will be easiest to fit an FRST pump, straight swap i believe

No all the injection cars have the same size fuel lines etc.
Its the flow rate and delivery pressure of the pump thats important.

as said above, the mfi system requires alot more pressure than the efi pump will give
