are the locks unlocking but the doors not opening?

If so, it's prob jus stuck shut, doors stick to the seals if not been opened for ages, unlock, pull handle and PUSH

thats what i was thinking, but i guess you will have pushed quite hard

if you unlock it from the inside, there is no reason why it shouldnt open, unless the car has deadlocks, which i amm sure the escossie doesnt.

key should work in the door, regardless of whther it has a battery or not, or have you just never checked? post 1993 ford locks are notorious for going wrong

it worked with the key all the time over the past few weeks.

last time the doors was opened was about 10 days ago and i cant imagine they would have just sealed there-selves shut in that time in a dry warm workshop.

neither lock or door handle seems to do anything, been inside almost kicking the doors so they arnt stuck!

jumper lead on the alternator or on the starter motor and connect it to a remote battery
