Default FAO Rod etc

...say my car did get 600bhp...i expect weight to be 50 kilo heavier than std?

What in theory would the car do top speed and in gear times and what supercar could it beat at Brunters?....i hear that the Carrera GT could only manage 180 odd would that make my car faster in theory?

...need some pub talk thats not bullshit

50kg weight difference at brunters doesnt even equal 1mph i suspect phil, so you can pretty much ignore that.

So IF you car makes a genuine 600bhp complete with a good spread of torque, you should be looking at 190+

500bhp would see you well over 180 i believe

Phil we will know soon with Ade's engine 600hp should do 190+mph after all he has already done 185.5mph with a piddly 520hp makes you think what the others have at the end of brunters.

The Macca has done 211mph on the slightly longer straight add about 100yards of car park they now have there.

If you lose 3or 4 secs to 150 cos of your extra weight thats around 120 metres & thats only 1.5secs or so at 180+ so not a lot of difference to Topspeed. 500bhp will pull 180 , 600bhp 190mph. With the MAD Spec engine you would have this down the bottom end, unlike most who try. Mark guesses circa 570bhp so thats good for 187ish. That would make you 3rd Fastest, Phil.
Dont pubtalk mate do it before Ade, Dave & Martin re-write the List.

Yep you would beat the Carrera down Brunters thats for sure.
When we first ran 201.8 at Brunters our 0-200 was a second down on the Macca so I guess a road going Macca would be around 202/204 speed at Brunters. A Tuned one has done 211.

We do a standing start at Woodbridge & we are faster over 1.5miles.

It makes no difference to Topspeed using the bend but is much easier on the Clutch. If you come round the bend at 80/90mph you are well down the runway before you get straight, remember these cars can reach a 100 in the 6's from a standing start so no time lost. The legendary Mr. Rainbird did his record runs from a Standing start & his 0-100 would have been around 9 secs.
Rod
ps. The Macca that did 211 was a Long Tail Macca & not a standard car.

Rod, if your car raced a mclaren F1, you could be parked stationary and leave the line as he passed you at 70mph and you would still get to 200 before him, thats some pretty cool bragging rights to have
