It was on ITV - 21:45 to 22:30 - Watched it at work as I was spare.
All I can say is the bloke is an absolute genious. Regardless of what he got upto in his private life, his musical tallent and his ability as a performer on stage is something that no-one can come close to today
A true musical god who will be forever remembered for all the wrong reasons

I missed it but I do hope they repeat it.
He was a awseome musician and performer, seen loads of documentaries on him before and they showed how great he really was.
It was a huge loss for music when he died.
Did I hear he should be 60+ this week ? amazing how time flies !

I watched part of it when i flicked over and realised it was on...
His music was fantastic, and to me thats what i'll always think of him as... a bloody great entertainer!

I thought the documentary was pretty average really. I've seen far better stuff on TV about him and Queen, but all that aside, there is no denying him as one of the greatest musical talents and showmen of all time.

the guy is a total legend, but still people talk about his sexuality like its a bad thing?so what if he as some people on here put 'bumming' etc its his own choice and im sure he wanted to be remembered as a show man not a famous guy that died of Aids

Missed it, literally got home as the titles were rolling. I'd even reminded my housemate the day before that it was on, then totally forgot about it myself
Hoping to catch a repeat later on this week

whilst I wasn't the hugest Queen fan, he certainly had the "X-Factor". Otherwise known as playing/singing from the heart, and putting every ounce of passion into your performance. Like my old band.
Our album wasn't that great, but people always loved the live show, mainly cause we bounced about like loons on stage, and I smacked the living shit outta my kit at every gig.

Freddy Mercury was a lyrical genius and one of the worlds true showmen, an absolutely amazing front man with a band to back him up that mached perfectly,
there has never been a front man who could hold THE WHOLE of wembely stadium in the palm of his hands....no-one....other than Freddy

I was lucky enough to get tickets to Freddies 60th birthday party at 'we wll rock you' in london, it was sooooooo good , crowd was great and brian may and roger taylor played a couple of songs at the end and it was so good loads of people in fancy dress. I have liked queen since i was little, mum and dad used to play them all the time so got into them, and my neighbour used to work on tour with queen and elton john and rod stewart got my parents tickets but i was too young
I always wonder what music they would have released if he was still alive
