Default thermostat gasket help on evo, with pic

hi all, just putin a new thermostat in and thought this wud just need sealent, thats all that it had on when it came off, but its still leakin, any help or maybe just more sealent

Looks like there is a propper "o-ring" style gasket that is shaped to fit in the groove - best goto your mitsubish dealership

it came out with loads of sealent on so i wonder if thats what the last person did

p.s the M.L.R. is absolutly useless, if you put a post up it cud take days b4 any one answers you , and thay have more members than us iv posted this on here and M.L.R. and post was answered in minits P.F. all the way

just rang main dealer and thay say it probaly came with o ring but on there pc it shows sealent, looks like you only get oring with new housin so gona be a bitch

Can you not get a large o-ring that will fit in the groove all the way round, and then boil it in water to soften it, then press it into the groove using the sealer as a glue to hold it in place?

im gona just see what happens with the sealent first, after that i will try and get a o ring from somewere
