As above, not knowing an awful lot about all this ecu / mapping malarky I was wondering whether megasquirt would be a cost effective way of upgrading my management (ofac). If im on the wrong route please correct me!!!

Engine is currently low comp efi cvh with st3 head, cossie t3 running about 15psi.

yes mate dont be put off by the name ive spent few hours with gareth t mapping a 21 turbo on one its turned out really well, resolution is spot on quite easy to map and constant upgrades
the car in question is runing 1.2 bar on a t34 and everthing works as it should drives really smooth the owner soys the drivability is same as before on oem

Only minor gripe is resolution, but TBH its still better than the ignition map on my L8 anyway!

 

Ah cool, what is the difference between V2.2 and V3??!! Tempted to go for it!

 

Only real difference is the board design/layout. They both use the same firmware/software.

Just get the V3 board.

 

i thought the V3 had 12x24 resolution and extra bits like nitrous control and launch control built in as std?

No the V3 board is justy better auality and easier to build!!

How did you find mapping craigs 21? I hear you were roped in as a "man with a wideband"

 

found it ok there a few things i would like to change,, like being able to highlight a section of teh look uop table and adjust all boxes ive covered, but thats me being lazy,,,

i wish i had more input from the start, that why i wouldnt (and jay) of had the hassle to which we got with the wiring loom and so on! but then he would of had to wait longer, as sometimes i can be a lttel busy

overall,,, i like the product,,and for the price its amazing

i even looked into buying one just now,, not sure what i want it for though

damm i need to give up work

 

init i offered to build a loom think dougy offered to but people will be people and go there own way shame really as it would have bein finished by now but once again quite a amazing bit of kit for the cash

 

so theres no extra features or major benefits of the V3? ive got a V2.2 and was gonna flog it to get a V3 as had been told they were much better....is there any point?!

 

V2.2 or V3 is just the board!

How powerful the ECU depoends on the process... and that can be MS1 or MS2.

Not all the software avaible will run on MS2 however. For example the stuff refered to as the Extra code that runs EDIS will not work on MS2.
