New cap from Ford is under 3 quid so start there and as has been said clean all your brether system up. If it still does it I would be thinking about blow by on the piston rings pressurising the crankcase but eliminate the cheap fix options first.

Mend that pipe as well while you are at Ford. The pipe is still available and costs about £30 and ensure you use proper pipe clips rather than jubilee clips as you'll be pissed if you split one like I did and end up with Mbil1 all over the drive

The caps should be changed fairly often, they are servicable item. Crankcase pressure is purely down to worn bores/rings - ie large clerances. A new engine barely breathes at all, but as mileage increases, combustion pressure will begin to get through.

It's not really a problem, providing the breather system is upto it. Sadly, CVH breathers are not upto it when new! First port of call is to check all pipers are clean. If you still get the cap blowing off (not uncommon under boost) then plumbing the breather system to breath to atmo (or catch tank is she's really bad) is the best option.

Oil being fed back into the metering head is the reason you get oily boost pipes - not because the turbo is worn! This oil is not good for the combustion process, effecting the speed and shape of the flame front, and promotes detonation.

got a new cap today and fitting it was like breaking in a virgin, fookin tight the old one came off really easy so might not be as bad as first thought. will look into the breather situation, at moment i cant afford a breather pot so its going into a tropicana bottle

need to get a hose asap and the proper clips, its got jubilee clips atm so they wont be doing it any good.
