as the title suggests really

we've got an asbestos roof on our office and it's leaking
been told that the council will possibly give a grant towards sorting it, but we rent so wouldn't the landlord have to foot the bill in any case?

the bloke has also said soemthing along the lines of closing down the next door business while they get it sorted, anyone spread any light on that one?

the plan is to remove the section thats leaking and replace it with soemthing else rather than strip the whole roof down but apparently the council have people they employ to do this sort of stuff, again, other than phoning teh council, what can i expect them to be doing?

 

It's the same with houses... if you rent, let the landlord sort it out and foot the bill.

Nothing to do with you. Just make sure you pass on all of the details to the landlord and ask them nicely to get it done ASAP as it's a health risk.
