Hi there,
Does anybody know just how much magic these wheel refurbishment places can work?
I am just about to buy some late 4x4 rims for my saff 2WD, and a couple of these rims have some digs on and just inside the rim, also one rim appears to have been very slightly squared off (or flattened). Can this sort of damage be sorted do you think?
You responses would be well appreciated
Regards
Scott

Hi there,
I have heard good things about them, but never seen any of their work.
That's a fair price to get them looking mint, but I'm concerned how much they will be able to put right.
Cheers matey

hey, spit and polish get my thumbs up, very honest guys down there, i went in to get some advise about some alloys i wanted to put on my car and they gave me some wheel nuts and other stuff so that theyd fit on my car, all for free. its in the industrial estate in tonbridge, about 20 mins from bromley, give me a shout if u want directions, theres quite a few good little car shops round there too.

Probably the best out there http://www.lepsons.com/index.html, just got my rims polish and painted, excellent job, have heard from a number of people that spit n' polish don't put the effort in like they used to thats why I used Lepsoms.

Thanks for your feedback peeps.
It's well appreciated.
I'm drawn between the two now!! Both aren't very far from me
It's just one of the rims, has a real slight straight edge, like it's been down a pothole or something, and another has some minor marks on the rim where a monkey has tried to remove the weights with a chisel! Not, not quite that bad, but a few marks, inside the rim(outer one that gets kerbed) as such: and I was concerned that it might not come good.
What do you think?
I have seen some absolute shockers that have been bought back from the dead, and the damage on these kiddies is pretty superficial in comparison.

Go to Lepsons mate
Had my Azev's done by em after Spit and Polish said one wheel was "Damaged beyond repair" Lepsons sorted em out and I didn't need to buy a new rim in the end
Well 2 rims had flat spots on the outside edge, so had to be welded to bring back shape of the rim. The damage Spit and Polish said was 1 wheel was buckled too much to be straightened...
Lepsons can repair most damaged wheels, but not completly mangled ones if ya get me??
If you live close take the wheels up there and they will tell ya if they can sort it out or not
