I am trying to get my video footage onto my PC I have the sony picture editer software but it is quit crap!! what softwae doeseveryone use? itis a DV camera but still on the tapes at the moment!

My mate uses Pinnacle Studio 9 and it works well. Not cheap though.

Pinnacle
Avid.

I'd use either pinnacle or vegas if its the first time you've done any stuff like this.

I use that too. Bought the Studio AV/DV version so it has all the connections I could need.

 

I have pinnacle but like a thick bit cant use it!! no instructions! Cant seem to get my DV to connect to the software! Windows movie maker is a bit pixalated as well nae use!!

 

Make sure it's updated. Did it come with a PCI board?

Go into ---> set up> capture source. and make sure you're capturing from the right place.

 

Should all be firewire connections these days?
