Default Red light on top of dash (4x4 cos)

Yesterday this light on top of my dash came on, and it hasnt gone off since, even when the car is parked overnight. The car has started cutting out, and refusing to fire ever since. I believe its something to do with the alarm. Some one told me earlier its from the std FORD alarm (i'm not to sure about that) but the car does also have a cat1 alarm fitted.

Please can someone give me some advice on this the car is undriveable.

take front door cars off and look on the lock barrel u will see the sensor rapped around the barrel ,black circular plastic clip ,just undo it from barrel and leave it in bottom of door , there is also a multiplug iirc u can dismantle aswell ,but there are loads of multiplugs inside door so watch what ones u dismantle , u can also disconnect the push sensor on front upper panel where vin tags are that detects the bonnet aswell

the brains for it should be above ur feet at the pedals also and is marked that its for the alarm system

alarm is still playing up (water getting to it) and the red light is still on. I have had a look to remove the std alarm, but there is a black wire from the aftermarket system that is spliced into one of the wires.

for future reference, I removed the fuse for the hazards for a few days, this disarms the alarm. I put it back in today and all is fine again. light has gone off. So I have removed the alarm brain and wrapped it in plastic so it is watertight now. all is dandy.
