Default Pit Bikes

I'm after a 125cc engine from a pit bike but there's loads of different makes out there and I don't no which ones are good as i've heard some of the jap copies aren't reliable?

Anybody into there off road bikes like to share some information on this or can you point me in the direction of a good supplier?

Thanks,

Chris

I'm not after the bike, i'm wanting an engine out of one for my go kart as that's what was previously fitted.

There isnt that many 125 pit bikes. Most are 110. However pretty much all of them are shite chinese copy engines.

If you want a decent engine get a honda xr (crf) 50 and then get the takegawa 110 kit for it. Or buy a Kawasaki klx 110 engine. Both will cost you quite a bit.

Most go kart engines (if they're not geared) are honda generator engines.

Thats what most people have said but i'm trying to pick the best of a bad bunch if you no what I mean, and if I get a different type of engine then i'll have to mess about getting it fitted properly as the cart was built around one of these 125 pit bike engines ( it's a homemade jobby )

If you want it new then I can probably get you the number so you can call the distributor direct as a mate of mine has sold a few of them.
