just had my dad on the phone saying that the universal joint on his xr4x4 (2.0 dohc.) is badly worn im just wondering if i can replace the joint or will the propshaft have to be changed too.from what he said its the one on the end of the propshaft near the transfer box i.e gearbox to transfer box the latter joint is dodgy. hope i've made sense .any ideas where i can get the parts to fix it.ford maybe??

You can buy UJ's from any good motor factor for under £30, Ford will probably try and sell you a complete front prop

As above,motor factors will sell them

Will need the size though,as they order by size,not car model etc

Easy if he can do without the car on the road for a couple of days
