I hate to say that I let my old XR3i run out of oil once and drove to Cardiff and back, which for me is about 500 miles, and it didn't miss a beat! I filled it up when I got home and it was fine for as long as I had it!

Though i can remember my old onion! i drove it about 30miles home then when got home thought it sounded a bit tappy! looked and there was no oil in it Well none on the dip stick so must of been a fair bit in the sump still other wise boom lol

 

pisser, whos up for a passionford 'no oil' run then? we'll hire a car each from a car hire place, drain the oil and see who gets the furthest whoever wins gets to keep all the oil drained from the cars
