Default cosworth management on 1.6 cvh frst

what ecu would i need to do this?

is it from an escort? if so is it the large or small turbo car?
or is it from a 2wd/4wd?

what sort of price am i looking at for ecu etc?

also what ecu had the water injection features built in?

if its got the features for water injection all ready in then it would be cheaper!

also the frst is harder to tune to a high a power as the cosworth route because of injectors! the impeedance etc isnt the same as cosworth ones!

why not get some high impedance injectors off of someone like stu and then get a live map-much simplier imo!

the water injection trigger stuff can be bought for about 20quid and will do the same thing (probably more) than the ECU would...

plus its the fact that you can say that its got cosworth management to all the little oiks who know nothing about cars etc! and plus that allone would add 400000 bhp in their eyes!

na, the injectors alone would cost as much as the whole conversion for very high flow rate ones that are the right impeedance for an FRST managment! plus then the mapping would cost the same etc!

youll have to pay mapping for a cossie conversion as it wont be set-up right for a cvh.

and I thought injectors were about £250 (i.e. £50ish more than beige ones?)

Call Pete at Ashfield, he told me yesterday that he has a ERST coming in during the week with the management already converted.

Wether he wants to split the system from the engine is another matter, but its worth the call.

Iknow, I've done mine very cheaply and it just adds value to my car so I can make good money from it when its sold.

Not a fan of FWD RS' just using it to make some £$£$£$
