Thinking about a ST 24
I had a '98 Ghia for a quite a while and although it aint an ST its more or less the same running gear, spec, etc ...
I'd deffo have another especially over an S2. The Mundano has all the toys and mine use to return about mid 30's mpg and rocket up to about 140mph'ish. You could literally pull away in 3rd gear. There nice and torquey and sound pretty nice. Its just a shame that if your trying to sell one they aint worth jack .... Dont forget that not all of them come with the RSA bodykit and the saloons versions aren't the most desirable thing to own ...

Thanks fellas, I prefer the 4dr saloons over the hatchbacks actually
I know they aren't shit hot fast but it's quicker than my S2 and a million times more reliable! I'll have a few test drives as it's my brothers car, but i think my minds made up!

I had an R plate ST-24 for a year after selling my last Cossie and I've now got an ST-200 as a daily drive.
I would say it's a lot of car for the money and when compared to other "family saloons" they handle ok too.
With the exception of a new battery I've had no problems with them at all.
BUT
Don't expect to compare an ST to an RS Cossie or Turbo as they are totally different animals and you really do miss the rush of the turbo coming on boost

Well i had my first test drive of it yesturday and i was quite impressed!
I know what you mean about it being a different sort of power than a RST, but i think thats what i want now. I'm looking forward to having a car that has all the toys inside aswell as being reasonably quick compared to what i'm used to!
If nothing changes then i'll be the proud owner in 3 weeks and I cant wait, just in time for my 23 b'day!
BTW I'll still have the S2 so if I do need a quick adrenalin rush then i can take that for a spin!
