here goes.........

car idles really badly. hunts between 400rpm and 1200rpm and at times just cuts out. if i put the lightest of light pressure on the throttle pedal then it sits at a steady 900rpm, as soon as i come off the pedal though it's hunting again.

also noticed tonight as i was putting it back in the garage it's got a slight missfire at low revs, smooths out at roughly 2k and when it's under load it seems to be fine. pulled like a train on the way back from donnington so i can't see it being anything terminal. hasnt had a set of plugs for 18 months so should that be the place to start?
